LEHI, Utah (KUTV) — Some Lehi residents are being notified that new water measuring equipment will be installed into their lawns as part of a state law that was passed in 2022, mandating irrigation water meters to be installed in every municipality throughout Utah. The deadline isn't until 2030 but residents are wondering now what will happen next, and if the installation will affect their utility bills. The City of Lehi's Water Department Manager Greg Allred said it hasn't been determined yet whether costs will increase because the city is in its beginning phases of the process.
